TruthFinder Opt Out: Remove Your Info From TruthFinder
The short answer
To opt out of TruthFinder, go to the PeopleConnect Suppression Center at suppression.peopleconnect.us, verify your email, confirm your identity, find your record, and set it to Suppressed. TruthFinder is a PeopleConnect brand, so the same request also removes you from Intelius, US Search, Instant Checkmate, and Classmates. Allow 7 to 14 days.
This guide is free and complete. Follow it and you will be removed from TruthFinder without paying anyone, including us. If you would rather not do this 43 more times, that is what Dataremoval is for.
TruthFinder
Goes straight to TruthFinder. We get nothing from this link.
What is exposed
What TruthFinder publishes about you
Name, address history, phone numbers, relatives, and background report teasers.
Every one of those fields is removable through the steps below, and every one can reappear later when TruthFinder ingests a new public record that matches your name.
The trap
TruthFinder buries the opt-out behind a chain of footer links and pushes "suppression" rather than deletion. Both remove you from search results, but the standalone URLs a lot of guides point at just redirect, so people give up thinking there is no way out. The PeopleConnect portal is the way out.
The method
TruthFinder opt-out, step by step
Medium. There is no one-click form on the TruthFinder site itself, and you have to verify your identity in the portal.
-
01 Open the PeopleConnect Suppression Center
TruthFinder does not process removals on truthfinder.com. From the TruthFinder footer, open "Exercise My Data Privacy Rights", then "View Public Data Tools", then "Manage My Suppression Rules". That link lands on the PeopleConnect Suppression Center at suppression.peopleconnect.us, which is the only route that works.
-
02 Verify your email
Enter an email you can open right now, accept the terms, and click Continue. PeopleConnect sends a verification email within a minute or two. Click Verify Email in it before you can go further.
-
03 Confirm your identity
Enter your date of birth and full legal name, then pick your record from the list the portal shows. PeopleConnect confirms identity with a code sent to a phone number listed on your record, so have that phone handy.
-
04 Set the record to Suppressed
In the Desired Behavior drop-down, choose Suppressed, then click Save. PeopleConnect pushes suppression over deletion, and for keeping your data off the site it is the setting that sticks.
-
05 One request covers the whole family, then re-check
The same suppression covers Intelius, US Search, Instant Checkmate, and Classmates, because they share the data. Allow 7 to 14 days, then search your name again: TruthFinder re-ingests public records, and a new source record can bring a fresh listing back.
Steps written against TruthFinder's live flow in July 2026. Brokers move their forms without notice. If a step has moved, start from their opt-out page and the shape of the process will be the same. Tell us if it has changed: team@dataremoval.ai.
And then the other 43
TruthFinder is one of them
The same address you just removed from TruthFinder is still published by the other brokers in our directory, and by the marketing aggregators that supply all of them. Removing one is a good afternoon. Removing all of them, and keeping them removed as they refill, is a different kind of job.
Dataremoval files every opt-out for you and re-scans monthly. It is in early access, so joining the list costs nothing and there is nothing to buy.
