MyLife Opt Out: Remove Your Profile and Reputation Score

The short answer

To opt out of MyLife, search your name at mylife.com, right-click your listing and copy its URL without opening the profile, then paste that URL into the MyLife opt-out form with an email address and submit. Click the verification link MyLife emails you. You can also call 1-888-704-1900 or email privacy@mylife.com. Processing takes about 14 business days.

Name, age, addresses, phone numbers, relatives, and a "reputation score" assembled from public records.

Every one of those fields is removable through the steps below, and every one can reappear later when MyLife ingests a new public record that matches your name.

The trap

MyLife builds a page around a "Reputation Score" that implies a rating exists whether or not anyone reviewed you, and you cannot strip the score while keeping the rest: it is full deletion or nothing. MyLife is also among the slowest brokers to act and among the most persistent re-listers, so treat the first removal as the start of a habit, not a one-off.

The method

MyLife opt-out, step by step

Medium. There is no way to remove only the Reputation Score, full profile deletion is the only path, and MyLife is slow to process.

  1. 01 Find your listing without opening it

    Search your first and last name on mylife.com. When you see the listing that is you, do not click into the profile. Right-click it and choose Copy Link Address instead. Opening the profile can register a view; the removal form only needs the URL.

  2. 02 Open the MyLife opt-out form

    Go to the MyLife opt-out page, fill in the required fields marked with an asterisk, and paste the profile URL you copied. Enter an email address you can access, because the confirmation link goes there.

  3. 03 Complete the CAPTCHA and submit

    Pass the CAPTCHA and submit the form. MyLife sends a verification email within a few minutes. Open it and click the link; the request is not active until you do.

  4. 04 Use the phone or email backup if the form stalls

    MyLife is one of the more stubborn brokers. If the form fails or your profile lingers, call MyLife at 1-888-704-1900 and ask to opt out under applicable privacy law, or email privacy@mylife.com with your full name, current address, and the listing URL, stating clearly that you want the profile deleted.

  5. 05 Wait 14 business days, then confirm

    MyLife states 14 business days, and in practice it can run longer. Search your name again on mylife.com after that window in a private browser window. If a MyLife Reputation Score page for you is still live, resend the request, because MyLife re-lists as new public records arrive every few months.
