02 Create an account and verify your email

The portal requires a login. This is the one broker family where you must make an account to get your data removed, which is an irony worth naming.
03 Search for your record

Search your name and select every record that is yours. Confirm the address and age match before you claim a record.
04 Submit the suppression request

Submit. Some PeopleConnect brands ask for a photo of a government ID at this point. If you send one, cover the photo and document number: they need the name and address, not the rest.
05 Cover the whole family in one pass

While you are in the portal, suppress your record on TruthFinder, Instant Checkmate, US Search, and ZabaSearch too. They share the data. Allow up to 14 days for all of them.

How do I remove my information from Intelius?

How long does an Intelius removal take?

The main PeopleConnect search brands normally clear within about 72 hours of the request saving, and Intelius allows itself up to 14 days. Allow up to 10 business days for the suppression to propagate across every property before concluding a record was missed. Nothing happens at all until you click the email verification link, which is the most common reason a request appears to stall.

Can a data removal service opt me out of Intelius?

Usually not directly, and this is the detail worth knowing before you pay for one. DeleteMe's own help documentation states that PeopleConnect does not honor opt-out requests filed on a customer's behalf, even with a signed authorization form, and asks customers to file it themselves. Optery lists PeopleConnect under Custom Removals rather than its standard automated roster. Intelius is one you file yourself.

Does Intelius require a photo ID to remove your info?

The standard portal flow asks only for an email address, your legal name and your date of birth. Some PeopleConnect brands request a government ID in edge cases, generally where a record cannot be matched. If you are asked, cover the photograph and the document number before sending anything. They need to read the name and address, not the rest of the document.

Why can I not find an opt-out form on intelius.com?

Because there is not a working one. Intelius no longer runs a standalone removal page, and the links that still exist either loop back to the site or point at a URL that no longer resolves. A lot of published guides have not caught up and send people to those dead pages. Start at the PeopleConnect portal and the problem disappears.

Does my Intelius record come back after suppression?

Commonly within 6 to 12 months. Suppression hides the record you claimed, but PeopleConnect keeps buying and ingesting county filings, voter files, utility hookups and marketing data, and any of those can build a brand new record your earlier request never covered. Take care entering your date of birth, because the portal treats it as permanent and will not let you correct a typo later.
