Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, and medical records are not on this list, because legitimate data brokers do not publish them. If those appear anywhere, you are dealing with a breach dump rather than a broker, and the response is different: read this instead.

A data removal service that will remove anything for anyone is a reputation-laundering service, and eventually a stalking service. The boundary is not a legal formality.

A published article is speech, not a broker listing. Legitimate press coverage stays up. So do public court records.
