The short version
- Creating an account is free. You are charged only when you choose a plan at checkout, and you can cancel any time.
- The scan is a best-effort search of the public web, not a guarantee about any listing.
- Use the scan on yourself only, or with the person's consent.
Accepting these terms
By using dataremoval.ai you agree to these terms. If you do not, please do not use the site. It is operated by DataRemoval.ai, and you can reach us at support@dataremoval.ai.
What DataRemoval is
DataRemoval is a data removal service. We find listings about you on data broker and people-search sites, file the opt-out requests on your behalf, re-check that the listings are gone, and keep checking for as long as your plan is active. The plans and their prices are listed on the pricing page.
Your account
You create an account with your email address and confirm it with a code we send you. Creating an account costs nothing and does not commit you to buying anything. Keep your email account secure: anyone who can read it can confirm a code sent to it.
Plans, billing and cancelling
Every plan is a subscription, billed monthly or yearly, as you choose at checkout. The price you see at checkout is the price you pay, and it renews automatically at the end of each period until you cancel. You can cancel at any time. After you cancel, your plan stays active until the end of the period you have already paid for, and it is not renewed. We do not charge anything before you complete checkout, and we do not store your card details ourselves.
Payments are final. Cancelling stops future renewals but does not return a fee already charged, and refunds are given only in the narrow cases set out in our Refund Policy.
To act for you, we need the details a broker uses to find your listing (typically your name, past and current addresses, phone numbers and email addresses) and your authorisation to submit opt-out and deletion requests in your name. We use those details for your removals and nothing else.
The exposure scan
The scan performs a live search of the public web for people-search listings matching the name and state you enter. Its results are a best-effort reconstruction from public search listings. They are not a read of any broker's database, and we make no warranty that a listing it reports exists, or that a listing it fails to report does not.
You agree that you will:
- use the scan on yourself, or on a person who has consented to it;
- be 18 or older;
- not use it to locate, monitor, harass, or investigate any other person;
- not attempt to circumvent its rate limits, or use it through automated means.
We may rate-limit, change, or withdraw the free scan at any time. It is free and best-effort, which is roughly all the guarantee anyone should read into it.
Emails we send you
We email you about your account and your removals. You can unsubscribe from anything that is not strictly about your account using the link in any email we send, or by writing to us. We will not pass your address to anyone. The privacy policy is the binding statement of what we do with it.
Our guides and the opt-out instructions
The opt-out guides on this site describe each broker's process as we observed it. Brokers change their forms, their URLs, and their requirements without notice. The steps may be out of date by the time you read them, and following them is your own decision. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any data broker named on this site. Their names and marks belong to them and are used here for identification only.
Nothing on this site is legal advice. Statements about state and federal privacy law are descriptions of publicly available statutes, offered for orientation. If you need to enforce a right, talk to a lawyer.
Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, probe, or reverse engineer this site or the systems behind it. Do not scrape it. Do not create an account with someone else's email address. If you find a security problem, please tell us at support@dataremoval.ai before you tell anyone else, and we will credit you if you would like us to.
No warranty, and limits on liability
This site and the scan are provided "as is", without warranty of any kind, express or implied. We do not warrant that the site will be available, that the scan will produce accurate or complete results, or that any opt-out described here will succeed.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, DataRemoval will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from your use of this site or the service. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. If a change affects a plan you are paying for, we will email you before it takes effect, and you can cancel before it applies to you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Poland, where DataRemoval is established, without regard to conflict of law rules. Nothing in this clause deprives a consumer of the protection of the mandatory law of their country of residence.
