US Search Opt Out: Remove Your Info From USSearch.com
The short answer
To opt out of US Search, go to suppression.peopleconnect.us and choose the USSearch brand, verify your email, enter your date of birth and legal name, select your record, confirm your identity by phone code, and set the behavior to Suppressed. US Search is a PeopleConnect brand, so removal takes 7 to 14 days and covers the sister sites too.
This guide is free and complete. Follow it and you will be removed from US Search without paying anyone, including us. If you would rather not do this 44 more times, that is what Dataremoval is for.
Steps checked against US Search's own opt-out flow. We take no commission from US Search or from any service named on this page.

No broker listing ranked today. That is not the same as being private: search engines demote people-search pages, and the brokers still publish to anyone who searches them directly.

The live top results for your name, reconstructed from public search. The "data broker" badge is matched against our own directory of 45 brokers.
These brokers index US adults and each opt-out link is real and free. We have not checked each one for your name, and we will not pretend otherwise. That is what the full service does.

What is exposed
What US Search publishes about you
Name, age, address history, phone numbers, and relatives.
Every one of those fields is removable through the steps below, and every one can reappear later when US Search ingests a new public record that matches your name.
Background-check sites usually publish a phone number alongside the address, which is what turns into cold calls, so removing your phone number from the internet is often the next job. If the report is already showing up in search results, the Google personal information removal route handles the cached copy.
The trap
US Search shares its database with the other PeopleConnect brands, so suppressing it here quietly clears the siblings too, which is a rare bit of good news. The catch is the reverse: opt out of a non-PeopleConnect people-search site and it does nothing for US Search, so you still have to work through the rest of the brokers separately.
The method
US Search opt-out, step by step
Medium. Same PeopleConnect portal as TruthFinder and Intelius, with an email check and a phone verification step.
-
01 Start at the PeopleConnect portal, branded for USSearch
US Search removals run through suppression.peopleconnect.us, not a form on ussearch.com. Start the flow with the USSearch brand selected. Trying to find an opt-out link on ussearch.com itself sends most people in a loop.
-
02 Verify your email
Enter an email address you can access, agree to the terms, and click Continue. Open the verification email from PeopleConnect and click Verify Email.
-
03 Enter your details and pick your record
Enter your date of birth and full legal name, clicking Continue after each. Select the profile that is genuinely you from the list. Check the address history and age before you claim a record.
-
04 Confirm your identity by phone
PeopleConnect sends a verification code to a phone number listed on your record. Request it, enter the code, and continue. This step is why the portal can actually remove you rather than just log a request.
-
05 Choose Suppressed and save
Open the Desired Behavior drop-down, choose Suppressed, and click Save. Allow 7 to 14 days, sometimes a little longer. The same action suppresses your record on TruthFinder, Intelius, Instant Checkmate, and Classmates, so you clear the whole PeopleConnect family in one pass.
Steps written against US Search's live flow in July 2026. Brokers move their forms without notice. If a step has moved, start from their opt-out page and the shape of the process will be the same. Tell us if it has changed: app@dataremoval.ai.
And then the other 44
US Search is one of them
The same address you just removed from US Search is still published by the other brokers in our directory, and by the marketing aggregators that supply all of them. Removing one is a good afternoon. Removing all of them, and keeping them removed as they refill, is a different kind of job.
Dataremoval files every opt-out for you and re-scans monthly. If you are shopping around first, we compare the field in the best data removal services and put the real numbers side by side in how much data removal costs.
