Because the same address is usually published with a phone number, plenty of people follow this with removing their phone number from the internet. If the listing is also surfacing in search results, the Google personal information removal request is the separate step that clears the cached page.

The trap

USPhoneBook indexes by phone number, not by person, so the record you removed is only the one attached to the number you searched. An old landline, a ported cell, or a spouse's number can each carry a separate listing with your name and address on it, and none of them are touched by the request you just filed. Search every number you have ever held, not just the one in your pocket.

01 Open the opt-out page and enter an email

Go to usphonebook.com/opt-out. The same form is linked from the site footer under "Do Not Sell My Personal Information". Enter an email address you can open right now, tick both consent boxes, clear the CAPTCHA, and start the removal request. Use an address you check, because the whole request hangs on an email that arrives in the next few minutes.
02 Search for yourself by phone number

USPhoneBook is built around reverse phone lookup, so searching your own number is the fastest way to surface the exact record. Name and address searches work too, but the phone search returns the single listing rather than a page of near-matches. Search every number you have held, including an old cell you ported years ago.
03 Open your record and click Remove Record

Open the listing and confirm the age, address history, and relatives really are yours before you file. USPhoneBook labels the button that opens a profile inconsistently, so if "View Full Address & Phone" does not get you to a removable record, use the "Get Details For" link on the result instead. The removal control on the profile is the orange Remove Record button.
04 Click the confirmation link inside 24 hours

USPhoneBook emails you a link to finish the request, and that link expires 24 hours after it is sent. Nothing is filed until you click it. Check the spam folder if it has not landed within about ten minutes, because a promotional filter catching this email is the single most common reason an opt-out silently fails.
05 Re-search after 72 hours, then every few months

USPhoneBook states that confirmed removals process within 72 hours. Search your number again after that window: one person routinely has several records, one per number and per address the site has associated with the name, and each needs its own request. Then repeat the search two or three times a year, because new public records rebuild listings under fresh URLs.

Where does USPhoneBook get my information?

From US public records and commercial data feeds it buys, the same supply chain behind every people-search site. Phone carrier directory listings, property and voter records, court filings, and marketing databases get matched on name and address into one profile. USPhoneBook did not take the data from you, which is why there is no account to delete and no password to change.

Why does USPhoneBook have my information if I never signed up?

Because none of this requires your consent. Aggregating and republishing US public records is legal, and no federal law makes a people-search site ask permission first. That is the whole business model: buy records in bulk, match them to a name, publish the profile for free, and sell the traffic. Opting out is a courtesy the site offers, not a right it is honoring, outside the states that now mandate deletion.

How long does USPhoneBook take to remove your information?

Up to 72 hours from the moment you click the confirmation link, not from when you submit the form. Removals often complete faster. If the listing is still live after three days, the usual cause is an unclicked or expired confirmation email, and the fix is to file the request again and open the email immediately.

Is the USPhoneBook opt out free?
