Optery Alternative: How Dataremoval Compares
The short answer
Optery is an established data removal service known for before-and-after removal screenshots, with a free scan and paid tiers listed at $39 per year for Core, $149 for Extended, and $249 for Ultimate at the time of writing. Dataremoval is an early-access alternative built around continuous re-scanning and a transparent per-broker removal log. Dataremoval is not open to paying customers yet.

Optery is a real service with real customers. Dataremoval has none, because it has not launched. This page compares a working product against a plan, and we have tried to make that obvious in every row rather than bury it.
Their offer
What Optery does
- Optery has been running since 2020 and is known for publishing before-and-after screenshots as proof each removal actually happened.
- It offers a genuinely useful free tier that scans data brokers and shows you where you are exposed, with no card required.
- Paid tiers are published at $39 per year for Core, $149 for Extended, and $249 per year for Ultimate ($3.99, $14.99, and $24.99 per month respectively, about 17 percent cheaper billed annually).
- Core is fully automated and covers one name plus one city and state; Extended and Ultimate add a human Privacy Agent and wider coverage, with Ultimate customers covered first as new brokers are added.
- It covers a large roster of US people-search and data broker sites and reports removals per broker.

The trade-off they made
Optery ties its stronger coverage and human oversight to its higher tiers: Core is automated and single-profile, so people with several past names or addresses need Extended or Ultimate to be fully covered. That tiering is a coherent, transparent trade, and the screenshot evidence is a real strength Dataremoval is designing to match with a dated per-broker log.
Our plan
What Dataremoval intends to do
- A per-broker removal log with the request date, current state, and evidence for each broker, in the spirit of Optery's screenshots but viewable any day.
- Continuous re-scanning, so a listing that reappears is treated as a new job rather than waiting for the next cycle.
- Automated opt-outs with the awkward, rejection-prone brokers escalated to a person, without gating that escalation behind the top tier.
- Tiers aimed at people with elevated exposure: executives, doctors, lawyers, and company security teams.

Which should you pick?
Optery is a real, working service with an unusually good free scan and a solid track record, and if you want removals handled today it is a strong choice, especially for the proof-by-screenshot approach. Dataremoval has not launched. We are building toward continuous scanning and a dated per-broker log so the evidence and the re-checks are always current, not tied to a cycle.
