The detail that decides the tier: the 1,132 data brokers Privacy Bee headlines are on Pro and Signature. Essentials covers 517 people-search sites, about 46 percent of the advertised number, and cannot take down custom sites at all. The second detail no other review quotes: Privacy Bee's own rate card describes the human analysts on the $16 Pro plan as a "cost effective non-US" team, and reserves US-based staff for Signature.

Two things to know before you price it. Privacy Bee applies multi-person and multi-year discounts automatically in the form on its pricing page, without publishing the thresholds or the percentages, so the annual figures above are a ceiling rather than a quote. And the 30-day money-back guarantee covers Essentials and Pro only. Signature, the $804 a year plan, is explicitly excluded from it, which is an unusual way round and worth knowing before you buy the expensive tier.

What the reviews miss
Privacy Bee advertises 1,132 data brokers. The entry plan covers 517 of them.
The 1,132 is honest arithmetic on Privacy Bee's part, and it is itemized publicly, which is more than most of this industry does. What the headline does not sit next to is which plan it belongs to. Privacy Bee's own comparison table puts "517 (People Search Sites only)" in the Essentials column and "1,132 (includes PSS + broader data brokers)" in the Pro and Signature columns. If you buy on the homepage number and pick the cheap tier, you bought 46 percent of what you read.

This is the third time this year we have found the same shape. Optery headlines 380+, 560+ and 635+ sites by tier, then prints 150+, 330+ and 405+ in the same sentence for anyone who has not switched on a setting called Expanded Reach, which we wrote up in our Optery review. OneRep headlines 877 brokers and gives 318 of them to the two cheaper of its four plans, covered in our OneRep review. Privacy Bee does it with a tier split. None of the three is lying. All three quote a number attached to a plan above the one most people buy.
The practical rule, and it now holds across most of this category: read the plan card, not the homepage, and treat any single coverage figure as a claim about the most expensive tier until you have checked it.

Read down that table and the tier decision makes itself. The first two rows, 362 people-search sites and 155 affiliates, are the 517 you get on Essentials. Everything below them, 615 sites across nine categories, starts at Pro. And those nine are not more of the same: advertising and marketing at 247, data enrichment at 154 and list brokers at 131 are the layer that never publishes a profile page, so you cannot find yourself on them the way you can find yourself on Whitepages. Only one other vendor in this category publishes a comparable itemization: OneRep names all 559 of its non-public brokers on its pricing page. If that layer is what worries you, the field narrows to two companies fast, and the honest comparison is Privacy Bee Pro at $192 a year against OneRep Family Pro at $59.90 per person per year.
The line nobody quotes

Every review of this company quotes the coverage numbers. None of them quote the row two lines below, which is the one with a real buying consequence. Privacy Bee's pricing table has a "Data Access & Residency" row, and it says the Pro plan's remediation is handled by the Global Response Team, which Privacy Bee describes in its own words as "cost effective non-US human analyst remediation". Signature is where you get "highly trained W2 employees operating out of our secure facility in Atlanta, GA USA".

Whether that matters is a personal call and we are not going to make it for you. Offshore support teams are ordinary in software, and Privacy Bee is being unusually candid by printing it on the rate card at all rather than leaving you to find out. But the whole point of this purchase is handing a stranger your full name, every address you have lived at, your phone numbers and your email addresses, so who handles that file is a fair question to ask before you pay. The gap between the two answers is $612 a year.
It is worth noting that a competitor sells directly against this. EasyOptOuts, at $19.99 a year, advertises "100% automated opt-out requests (no foreign contractors accessing your data)" as a headline feature of its only plan. Two vendors in the same category, both stating their position in writing on their own pricing pages, reaching opposite conclusions about how this work should be staffed.

That is 46 percent of the advertised figure. The other 615 brokers start at Pro.

This is the detail no other Privacy Bee review quotes, and it is printed on the rate card rather than buried. The Pro plan's human remediation is done by what Privacy Bee calls the Global Response Team, described on its own pricing page as "cost effective non-US human analyst remediation". Signature at $67 a month is the tier that gets "highly trained W2 employees operating out of our secure facility in Atlanta, GA USA". If where your data is handled matters to you, that is a $612 a year difference.
Custom site takedowns are the actual reason to move up from Essentials
The category counts are the visible difference between the tiers, but the functional one is custom sites. Privacy Bee's own help copy says that a blog, forum or social page exposing your address can be removed, "but you'd need a Privacy Bee Pro or higher level license". Essentials gives you DIY guides for anything outside its 517. If your exposure is a specific page rather than a people-search profile, Essentials cannot act on it at any price.
The Trustpilot score rests on thirteen reviews
Privacy Bee holds 4.0 out of 5 on Trustpilot across 13 reviews. Incogni has 2,927, OneRep 545, DeleteMe 261, Optery 222, and even EasyOptOuts has 89. Thirteen is not a sample you can compare against any of those, in either direction. It is not evidence the service is bad. It is an absence of evidence, and the honest way to read the 4.0 is to ignore it and judge the rate card instead.
The 185,264 figure is a different thing from the 1,132
Both Pro and Signature show "Unlimited" custom sites and a line reading "185,264 Sites Supported". That is not a broker roster. Privacy Bee removes from its 1,132 named brokers automatically and will pursue exposures found anywhere else its scanners reach, which is what the larger number describes. Do not read it as 185,264 companies holding your data and do not compare it against Incogni's 420+ or DeleteMe's 986. They are measuring different things.

Thirteen reviews is the headline problem with judging Privacy Bee on reputation. It is not a bad score and there is no pattern of complaints behind it, but a 4.0 built on thirteen people tells you almost nothing, and a single unhappy customer would move it by a third of a star. Privacy Bee does carry AICPA SOC 2 certification, a US headquarters at Atlanta, an unusually transparent broker itemization and press coverage including a quote from PCMag lead security analyst Neil J. Rubenking on its own site. Those are better evidence than the star average, and they are what we would weigh.

Privacy Bee Essentials lands in the middle of that table at $96.00, which is the awkward spot: it costs about what Incogni Standard costs and roughly five times what EasyOptOuts costs, while covering the same people-search layer both of those cover. Pro at $192.00 is where the money starts buying something the others do not sell. Signature at $804.00 is priced for a different situation entirely, and it is the only plan here excluded from its own company's refund guarantee.
So is Privacy Bee worth it?

Signature is for a specific emergency
$804 a year buys the same 1,132 as Pro, with expedited handling under 24 hours, escalation paths and US-based W2 analysts in Atlanta. We found no public court record of a lawsuit against Privacy Bee that we could verify, and we are not going to repeat one we cannot source. What does exist is business-side commentary from attorneys whose clients receive Privacy Bee deletion demands: the company files CCPA requests in bulk on behalf of members under a limited power of attorney, and some recipients have pushed back on that practice. That is a dispute about its method, not a filed case we can point to.
